Darryl Doyle

Senior Simulation Engineer

Darryl has over 4 years of experience in automotive simulation through a research collaboration with a leading UK bus manufacturer and Queen’s University Belfast. His research initially focused on modelling autonomous emergency braking control strategies using 3D traffic simulations. Prior to this, he used simulation for range prediction/optimisation of battery electric, hybrid, and hydrogen vehicles - including the world’s first double-decker hydrogen fuel cell bus.

As Senior Simulation Engineer at About:Energy, Darryl develops models and data parameterisation processes. His knowledge of automotive simulation ensures that our products fit seamlessly into the workflow of a major market segment.

Darryl is excited by the push to electrify the automotive sector, particularly by using simulation tools to maximise the efficacy of available components.
